Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’, which became the fastest film to enter the elite Rs 100 crore mark, has crossed another level of success by earning Rs 200 crore.

Kick is a 2014 Indian action-thriller film directed and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner. The film features Salman Khan in the lead role, with Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui appearing in supporting roles. The film is a remake of the Telugu film of the same name.

Charu Sharma got the inspiration for kabaddi's latest incarnation in India. It is a format unashamedly designed for television, and national network Star Sports is one of the main financial backers. His firm Mashal Sports runs the Pro Kabaddi League, which sees eight teams from across India playing rounds of matches in each of the competing cities over six weeks.

Today many Indians still claim kabaddi as their national sport and millions play - whether informally, at school, or in one of the 4,000 or so clubs across the country - particularly in its heartland of Tamil Nadu and Punjab.

On the opening night, VIP spectators included the actors Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, as well as cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Sania Mirza was declared the ambassador of the newly formed state of Telangana recently, but Telangana BJP leader K Laxman opposed her appointment, saying that she was Pakistan's daughter-in-law.

Sania Mirza opened up on TV interview and said, it was unfair that she has to assert her “Indianess” all the time despite achieving so many laurels for the country.

“I was really sad yesterday. It is really upsetting for me. I don’t know if it happens in any other country. I don’t know how many times I will have to justify my Indianess, prove my patriotism”

She ended with saying that this is the last time she has come up to clarify things.

Amul announced its sponsorship of the Indian contingents to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, Incheon, South Korea by signing a MoU with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) earlier this month.

Amul Girl with Mumbai Fireman saving others life by putting their own life on risk.

A fireman died and 20 other firefighters injured after being trapped inside while attempting to douse a major blaze that broke out on the 21st floor of a 22-storey commercial building in Andheri (West).

Though all civilians were evacuated soon after the fire broke out a little before noon, there were dramatic scenes of stranded firefighters clinging precariously to railings and scaffolding's as giant flames leapt menacingly towards them.

The firemen had gone into the building before the fire spread to the other floors and therefore got stuck inside. Fire officials said it was one of the most difficult rescue missions they had undertaken. They got their first shock when they found that the 65-metre-high snorkel they had carried could reach only up to the 15th floor.

Amul Girl is right in saying that common people attitude is not appropriate on fire drills, routine check of fire systems  and helping each other in such situation. If everyone understand their responsibility and follow guideline such mishaps could be avoided. So power is hand of to people to stop such things from happening.

German fans excited and celebrated the victory that symbolized, at least to fans, not just the country's dominance of Europe, but its global prominence.

Video footage of Rahul Gandhi apparently dozing off on Wednesday in the Lok Sabha during a debate on prise rise went viral on the social media. The Congress vice president was seen in a television shot with closed eyes and head tilting on the right.

While Congress promptly denied that Rahul was sleeping, BJP taunted it by saying this is what the party was doing on price rise for the last 10 years.

Brazil's national media quickly dubbed the football team's 7-1 defeat to Germany on Tuesday the "Shame of Shames" and the most humiliating defeat in the squad's history.

The game ended in a shocking loss for Brazil; Germany led 5–0 at half time, with 4 goals scored in a span of 6 minutes, and subsequently brought the score up to 7–0 in the second half. Brazil scored a goal at the last minute, ending the match 7–1.

Newspapers and TV commentators called the defeat the "Mineirazo," an allusion to the Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte and Brazil's traumatic Word Cup defeat at home in 1950 known as the "Maracanazo."

Blaming the referee is an easy way for professional footballers to wash their hands of the crimes of their colleagues. The referee for Brazil’s victory over Colombia, Spaniard Carlos Velasco Carballo, wasn’t particularly good, but he didn’t break Neymar’s back. 

If the guilty man – Colombia’s Juan Zuniga - thinks that because his team-mates James Rodriguez was being fouled at other times in the game, he has licence to go in that hard with a reasonable chance he will cause injury (watch it again, it’s not a tactical foul, it’s not mistimed, it’s not a tap on the ankle it is a full force knee in the small of the Brazilian’s back), then he is wrong.

It wasn’t an Under 11s game – these are grown men. And one professional footballer decided to stick his knee into the back of another pro at full force for no real reason. In other words they think they can commit virtually any foul they like and they will also get away with it.

Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan Tuesday retrieved his sarod after an international airlines had misplaced it.

“Epic Reunion!!! BA delivers my sarod. Thank you all for your prayers and love, especially the media for their kind support. My soul is back,” he tweeted.

He has reportedly been playing the same sarod for the last 45 years.

This was not the first time the sarod player had a difficult time with the British airlines. In 1997, they had damaged his sarod.

Netherlands striker Arjen Robben did it again. The Dutch footballer, who is undoubtedly one of the best footballers in the world, accentuated a trip by Rafa Marquez in the penalty area late in the game against Mexico to win a penalty for the Dutch. With the game at 1-1, Klaas jan Huntelaar stepped to take the penalty and put the ball into the back of the net to win the match for the Dutch.

There’s no doubt that Robben accentuated the dive and made the trip look a lot worse than it was. Having said that, the trip by Marquez was still a foul. But we’ll never know whether the referee would have called the penalty or not if Robben hadn’t dived to make the foul look far worse than it was.
